I am a UK-based translator and bilingual editor working from French and Georgian into English.
I studied at the Universities of Oxford, Chicago and Birmingham, and I have a frankly insatiable appetite for ongoing learning.
I have a particular interest in neurodiversity, women’s writing, religion in society (especially interfaith relations) and literature from marginalised communities.
Translating gives me the perfect excuse to spend my time learning about things I might otherwise never encounter. It’s also my creative outlet; when I take someone else’s words and have to re-express them in English it feels as if I’m giving them wings. I love it.

My translation of Nana Ekvtimishvili’s novel The Pear Field was longlisted for the International Booker Prize and the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation and shortlisted for the EBRD Literature Prize.
I am a member of the Translators Association of the Society of Authors and an associate member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.
